In our development plan, we had planned to release data on the WTE of the General Practice workforce as Official statistics, with the data on the absences, vacancies and locum use remaining as Official Statistics in Development. However, as discussed in this report, the completeness of the survey has shown that a measurement error exists between the GP workforce from the NPCCD and the Survey. Whilst this is investigated we will continue to publish these WTE statistics as Official Statistics in Development.
Reports on surveys prior to 2023 can be found on Public Health Scotland's (PHS) website.
Pre-release access to this official statistics release was granted for a period of 5 working days prior to the date set for its publication to those people whose organisations and job titles are listed in the attached document.
